Yes, thanks to the direct screen capture technology by the camera (developed by us), AmbiVision works with every TV, monitor, curved TV, and projector screen.
AmbiVision works with everything you watch on your TV. Thanks to the built-in camera, the AmbiVision PRO captures every screen, analyzes the screen edges, and sends information about colors wirelessly to the LED strip placed on the TV’s back. You can put the camera controller in a convenient place (max 5 meters distance). Using the fisheye lens allows placing the controller close to a TV, even at a high angle to screen or upside down on a ceiling. AmbiVision Pro automatically pairs with the LED strip and finds your screen where the LED strip is placed.
The minimum distance depends on the size of the TV and the screen viewing angle. We use the fisheye camera with 180 deg in horizontal and 140 deg in vertical. For example, 42″ TV, we can track from about 20-30cm. The maximum distance is 5 meters.

You need to enter your local network ID and password to be able to control the device by smartphone app. You need to verify in the app, whether a screen tracker result is proper and correct it if needed. Then, if you really want, you can adjust the brightness, colors gamma/curves, positions of sensing areas, eyestrain reduction, custom profile, connect Philips HUE lights, and more.
Standard RGB LED strip uses a 3-in-1 LED chip made up of red, green, and blue chips. It produces a wide range of colors by mixing the three and gives a white light with all the three channels driven using maximum power. The RGB+W LED strip uses a 4-in-1 LED chip with an additional white chip and basics chips: red, green, and blue. The RGB LED strip is a little bit cheaper, and it is good for smaller screens. With larger screens, white color is not so good as a separated white channel. This separated chip provides pure and bright white light along a whole LED strip.
Yes, the AmbiVision uses a unique algorithm that detects black bars on the top and bottom of the screen and moves capture color areas on the screen’s active regions.
Yes. It takes about 15 minutes and requires WiFi access and pressing a button on the smartphone app.
No. It happens automatically. AmbiVision PRO recognizes a lack of video signals and switches to low power mode. You can still turn on the mood mode by the smartphone app.
Yes, but please remember that AmbiVision can control max. 250 LEDs. If you would like to use more LEDs, please ask our support for a custom LED controller, which we prepare individually.
Our system support only LED strip types as SK6812 and WS2812b.
AmbiVision kit can work only with one screen. Thus, if you want to use AmbiVision for more screens, you need more kits.
